Selection and disciplines
The city stage received 107 team applications. After the home assignment was reviewed, 74 teams — 212 students — were admitted to the final round, held at School No. 103 in Astana.

Disciplines: engineering, robotics, programming, 3D modelling and science.

Qualifying home assignment
Teams studied a “rocket” made from a tube and an effervescent tablet, measuring how the amount of water affects flight height and launch time. Results were presented in a scientific report with measurements, graphs, photos and video.

Final round
The “Engineering design” module included the “Rocket” and “Boat” challenges: teams designed, built, tested and presented their builds for judging.

The “Testing” module covered 3D modelling, programming and science: 35 test questions worth 5 points and 15 open questions worth 10 points. Maximum score — 325 points; time — 2.5 hours.

Programme for teachers
Accompanying teachers took part in a task review, a robotics masterclass and a discussion on AI in education.
